I like to make simple dressings. This is one my go-to’s. No fancy tools are needed. 🙂
I use this as a salad dressing or a dipping sauce. It’s versatile. You can adjust the amount of water to make a thick dressing for salad or a thinner dipping sauce. Let’s begin making it!’
- Mix all ingredients except for water and green onions with a spoon.
Here is what chopped umeboshi looks like.
Add water until it becomes the consistency you like.
2. Add green onions if you like. Sometimes I added them and other times I don’t. It depends on how I feel like it. 🙂

Ingredients
- 1 chopped umeboshi (pickled plum)
- 1½ tablespoons tahini
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon ground sesame seeds (surigoma)
- ½ teaspoon miso
- 2-3 tablespoons water
- 1-2 tablespoons chopped green onions (optional)
Instructions
- Mix all ingredients except for water and green onions. Add water until it become the constancy you like.
- Add green onions and mix (optional)
