How to Make Sushi Rice

Ingredients
  • ¾ cup short grain rice
  • ¾ to 1 cup of water
  • *Sushi Vinegar*
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoons sugar
  • ½ teaspoon salt
Instructions
  1. Rinse rice until water is almost clear.
  2. Cook rice with slightly less water than usual
  3. Mix sushi vinegar ingredients in a small pot and simmer until salt and sugar melt
  4. Remove sushi vinegar from the pot and cool it down
  5. When rice is cooked, leave it in a rice cooker or a pot for 10 minutes
  6. Remove rice from a rice cooker or a pot and mix sushi vinegar while rice is still hot
  7. Wait until rice is cooled down to make sushi
